Kesem — Community Guidelines

In the app these are called the "community rules". Every section has a stable ID (for example CG-5.5). Messages about a rejected photo, a suspension or a ban quote this ID, so you can see exactly which rule was applied. The IDs will not be renumbered. If we delete a rule, its ID is not reused.

These rules apply to everything on Kesem: photos, name, bio, messages and behaviour towards other members, including behaviour offline that you report to us. Breaking them can lead to the sanctions described in CG-11 and in the Terms of Use (TOS-8).

CG-1 · Who can be here

• CG-1.1 Only adults: you must be 18 or older.
• CG-1.2 One person, one account. You may not share, sell or transfer an account.
• CG-1.3 You may not come back after a permanent ban, with a new phone, a new device, or someone else's details.

CG-2 · Be real

• CG-2.1 Fake profiles and impersonation. Do not pretend to be someone else, a celebrity or an organisation. Do not create bots or fake personas. (Report reason: "Fake profile")
• CG-2.2 Photos of other people. Post only photos of yourself that you have the right to use. Do not post someone else's photos, stock images, or photos taken from other profiles or sites. (Report reason: "Stolen photos")
• CG-2.3 Honest profile. Your age, gender and other details must be true.

CG-3 · Child safety — zero tolerance

• CG-3.1 Minors are not allowed. Anyone under 18 is not allowed on Kesem, and must not appear alone in profile photos. (Report reason: "Minor", a severe report)
• CG-3.2 Child sexual exploitation. Any content, conversation or behaviour that sexualises, grooms, exploits or endangers a minor is forbidden. This includes asking someone to meet a minor, and "age play" that refers to real minors. A breach leads to a permanent ban and a report to the authorities. See the Child Safety Standards.

CG-4 · Respect

• CG-4.1 Harassment. Do not insult, bully, stalk, pressure or intimidate people. Do not keep contacting someone who has not answered, or who has asked you to stop. (Report reason: "Harassment")
• CG-4.2 Hate and threats. Do not threaten violence against anyone. Do not attack or demean people because of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age. Do not glorify violence or violent groups. (Report reason: "Hate or threats", a severe report)
• CG-4.3 Privacy of others. Do not publish or share another person's personal information (address, workplace, phone, private photos) without their consent.

CG-5 · Photos and profile content

• CG-5.1 Every photo with a face must show you. Faces are compared with your face scan.
• CG-5.2 Your first photo is your card photo. It must show only you, with your face clear and uncovered.
• CG-5.3 A profile photo must show a person. Photos with no person in them (landscapes, objects, memes) are not accepted.
• CG-5.4 Photos must be clear enough to see. Very blurred, dark or tiny photos are not accepted.
• CG-5.5 Content not allowed in photos: nudity or sexual content; underwear or swimwear photos that focus on intimate areas; violence, gore, weapons pointed at people; drugs; hate symbols; photos of children alone; text, links, contact details or ads in the image; the same photo already used by another account. (The message: "The photo does not meet the community rules.")
• CG-5.6 Name and bio. Use your real first name. The name, bio and other text follow the same rules as photos. No contact details for commercial purposes, no links, and no offensive words.

CG-6 · Sexual content

• CG-6.1 No sexual content in profiles.
• CG-6.2 Do not send sexual messages to someone who has not clearly welcomed them. Stop at once when asked. (Report reason: "Sexual content")
• CG-6.3 Do not offer or ask for sex in exchange for money or anything else of value.

CG-7 · Fraud and money

• CG-7.1 Do not ask members for money, gifts, cryptocurrency, bank or card details, or "investments", whatever the story. (Report reason: "Fraud", a severe report)
• CG-7.2 Do not use Kesem for romance scams, blackmail, "sextortion" or phishing.

CG-8 · Spam and commercial use

• CG-8.1 Kesem is for personal dating only. Do not advertise, sell, promote or recruit. (Report reason: "Spam")
• CG-8.2 Do not send mass or repetitive messages, and do not use automation. Links in chat are not delivered.

CG-9 · Illegal and dangerous activity

• CG-9.1 Do not use Kesem for anything illegal, including selling drugs or weapons, human trafficking or exploitation.
• CG-9.2 Do not encourage suicide, self-harm or dangerous acts. If someone is in danger, contact the local emergency number (in Israel, the police: 100).
• CG-9.3 Anything else that puts members at risk. (Report reason: "Something else")

CG-10 · Account integrity

• CG-10.1 Do not get around verification, age checks or regional restrictions. This includes using someone else's face, photos or phone, and faking your location.
• CG-10.2 Do not use several accounts, trade accounts, or run unusual automated activity.
• CG-10.3 Do not file false or malicious reports.
• CG-10.4 Do not misuse features. For example, do not switch cities in "Virtual location" again and again to reach more people.

CG-11 · How we enforce these rules

• CG-11.1 Measures: rejecting a photo; a warning; lower visibility; a new face scan; a temporary suspension (for a set time, or until a person reviews the account); a permanent ban.
• CG-11.2 We decide the measure by how serious the breach is, how often it happened, and the risk to others. CG-3 always leads to a permanent ban. Severe reports (CG-3.1, CG-4.2, CG-7.1) suspend the account automatically until a person reviews it.
• CG-11.3 A permanent ban is always decided by a person.
• CG-11.4 Every decision tells you the section, the scope, and whether it was automated. You can appeal in the app; a person reviews every appeal.
• CG-11.5 For serious violence, threats to life, or child exploitation, we may share information with the police as the law allows or requires.

How to report

From any profile or chat, choose "Report" and pick a reason. You can also block the person. If you do not have an account, write to support@kesemdating.com (or safety@kesemdating.com for anything involving a child).
